Hum hai sarhad ke iss paar aur tum ho sarhaad ke us paar
Dil me hamare bhi wahi dhadhkan hai jo lata hai tumhare dil me pyaar
Iss baat ka shaq nahi hume ki hamare beech nahi hai koi takraar
Thodi galatfehmi hamare dil me thi aur thode galatfehmi ke the tum shikaar

 Mohabbat ke hum bhi hai talabgaar aur tum bhi ho mohabbat ke talabgaar
Jash-e-azadi kaho ya kaho swantrata diwaas baar baar
Sach ye hai ki iss din humne todi thi ghulami ki deewar
Aaao chodo purani baton ko aur todd de wo bichi hui deewar
yaar the hum, yaar hai aur rahengee sache yaar
