Dil-e-Mulaqat

Zaahir nahi hone denge uss mulaqat ko
par kaise hum bhulayen uss haseen raat ko

Wo tabassum chehra, Wo palken tumhari
tumhari jhalak pe haya ki chadar bhi haari

Nazron ki khata, hume mwaaf karna
tumse mile aur sikh gaye aahen bharna

Shakhon pe pade patte bhi fir lehrane lage
Aahat jo tumhari aayi wo sharmane lage

Ab to lafzon ko samjho aur; samjho mere jazbaat ko
Zaahir nahi hone denge uss mulaqat ko
